As a gamer, you might be put off Cause of Death for any number of reasons: Perhaps an ongoing story narrative game isn't really your bag. Maybe a CSI-style mystery isn't really your cup of tea. Maybe <insert useless metaphor here instead of playing a genuinely engaging, well structured game>. Whatever your reason, you're doing yourself a disservice.
The game/story is played out from the points of view of several characters; related in that they are involved in the business of a local serial killer, 'The Maskmaker'. As The Maskmaker continues to claim more victims, you take on a variety of identities in unmasking and eventually stopping him. Complete challenges related to the story (and your attention span) to progress.
RECOMMENDATION: If you can appreciate a good story, that is recommendation enough. Exciting and engaging right from the jump, I started this game with the intent of playing it for a few minutes and found myself involved for hours.
